2 JULIUSES Go Down as Madlanga's Karma STRIKES Hard!!!

On 15 April 2026, suspended EMPD Deputy Chief Julius Mkhwanazi faced explosive cross-examination at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry in Pretoria, where commissioners rejected his version of events surrounding the 2022 murder and body disposal of Emmanuel Mbense in Brakpan, with evidence leader Mahlape Sello accusing him of running a hijacking racket alongside Kersha-Leigh Stols, Aiden McKenzie and police informant Jaco Hanekom. On the same day, EFF leader Julius Malema appeared at the KuGompo City Magistrate's Court for sentencing proceedings on five firearm charges stemming from a 2018 Mdantsane rally, where his senior counsel Advocate Tembeka Ngcukaitobi dismantled the state's push for a fifteen-year prison sentence by exposing inflated evidence, an illegally returned firearm, and a constitutionally vindictive prosecution strategy. Magistrate Twanet Olivier deferred Malema's sentence to 16 April 2026, while Mkhwanazi returns to the Madlanga Commission on the same morning — two Juliuses, two courtrooms, one reckoning. #madlangacommission #juliusmalema
