BigXthaPlug Arrest 2026: What Happened and Why

BigXthaPlug has been arrested again in Texas on DWI, marijuana, and illegal gun possession charges while still out on bail from a previous case. The Dallas rapper, whose real name is Xavier Landum, was arrested in Allen, Texas, and is being held in Collin County Jail, according to the reporting cited in this story. The latest arrest comes nearly a year after BigXthaPlug faced similar charges involving unlawful weapon possession and marijuana. That case remains open. He also faced similar charges in 2022, making the latest arrest another major legal development for the 28-year-old rapper. The timing is also significant. BigXthaPlug was scheduled to perform at the Country Rising festival, but organizers removed him from the lineup, citing a personal emergency before the arrest became public. BigXthaPlug has built a major following through Southern hip-hop, trap and country-rap, with songs including “Texas,” “The Largest” and “Mmhmm.” He had also recently been teasing new music on Instagram. Now, with another case developing while his previous case remains unresolved, fans are left wondering what happens next and whether the legal trouble will affect his career.
