DFA: PH does not need China's approval in Ayungin

The Department of Foreign Affairs says the provisional understanding with China on Ayungin Shoal aims to prevent conflict and miscalculation at sea. DFA spokesperson Rogelio Villanueva says the arrangement does not require the Philippines to seek Beijing’s approval. Villanueva says about 15 resupply missions have been successfully completed under the provisional understanding.
