“If It Don’t Make Dollars, It Don’t Make Sense” | College Edition
About this track
“If it don’t make dollars, it don’t make sense.” It’s a tough conversation, but one more families are having than ever before. In Episode 67 of With Love, The Chambers,we discuss the difficult balance between pursuing a dream school and making a financially responsible decision about college. We’ve lived this conversation ourselves. Sometimes celebrating an acceptance letter also means having to say: “This is an incredible school, but we just can’t afford it.” Because getting accepted is only part of the equation. The bigger questions are: Can we afford the investment? How much debt will it require? What opportunities will this degree create after graduation? And does the return justify the cost? With college tuition reaching $50,000, $80,000, $100,000 or more for some students, families are being forced to think differently about dream schools, financial aid, scholarships, student debt, and return on investment. This isn’t about telling students to give up on their dreams. It’s about making informed decisions that give them the opportunity to succeed without unnecessarily compromising their financial future. 🎧 Watch Episode 67 on YouTube, or listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and wherever you get your podcasts. 💬 How much is too much to pay for a dream school? #WithLoveTheChambers #CollegePlanning #DreamSchool #FinancialLiteracy #HigherEducation
