Matt Edmondon & Oscar

Matt Baker brings The Petcast caravan to Vauxhall City Farm in South London to meet Radio 1 presenter Matt Edmondson and his 14-year-old West Highland terrier, Oscar. Matt E shares his early TV obsession with CBBC links and why radio initially felt more exposing and difficult than live TV. He talks about childhood house rabbits, the traumatic death of Buttons, and how he first warmed to dogs through his wife Bryony’s family dog, Layla, before finally finding Oscar from a litter in Southampton and becoming intensely devoted to puppy care. Matt E describes Oscar’s separation anxiety, later life with their children, and fears about eventually saying goodbye. A sponsored segment introduces Harrington’s Superfoods, with Good Food health editor Izzy discussing diet-linked tummy issues and ingredients like sweet potato, green beans, pomegranate, and mushrooms, before the Petcast quiz returns to close the episode. This episode is sponsored by Harringtons. 📣 Follow us!
