One Tiny Room, One Long Ride, One Crazy Check In

After finally buying my brand-new Kawasaki KLX300 in Roxas City, I thought the hard part was over... I was wrong. After months of searching, the excitement finally caught up with me, and I was completely exhausted. A subscriber recommended a nearby resort, so I checked in for the night. On paper it looked great, but once I arrived it felt like a place that time had forgotten. The room was tiny, the internet barely worked, and uploading my latest YouTube video wasn't happening. I ended up editing offline, called it a night around 8:30, and hoped tomorrow would be better. Thankfully, it was. I woke up early and took my very first real ride on the KLX300, making the four-hour journey to Dumangas before catching the RORO ferry over to Bacolod. The bike performed beautifully, and I couldn't stop smiling. Then came the Airbnb... The host kindly told me I could leave my luggage at the front desk before check-in so I could grab something to eat. Sounds simple enough, right? Not exactly. What followed was one of the most secure check-in processes I've ever experienced. Multiple IDs, multiple verifications, and enough paperwork to make me wonder if I was checking into Fort Knox. Then came the best part. After all that security, I was informed that my brand-new motorcycle wasn't safe parked outside the building. Their solution? Park it at a McDonald's a few hundred yards away because *they* had 24-hour security! In the end, I brought the bike back and hired a security guard to keep an eye on it overnight. Problem solved... sort of. Sometimes the best adventures aren't the ones you plan—they're the stories you never see coming.
