About this track

Otha Turnbough has finally addressed the massive backlash surrounding his controversial teaching about Jesus being molested, sexually assaulted, and tormented by demons in hell, and his explanation raises even more questions. After Christians, pastors, Bible teachers, and believers across social media challenged the statement, Otha Turnbough responded to the controversy and attempted to explain what he meant. In this video, I’m listening to his response, breaking down the Jesus in hell teaching, and asking whether his explanation actually lines up with Scripture or creates an even bigger problem. We’re going straight back to the Bible and dealing with the death of Jesus Christ, the cross, Hades, hell, the atonement, the resurrection, and the finished work of Christ. Did Jesus go to hell to continue suffering for our sins? Were demons allowed to torment Jesus after His death? Does the Bible teach that Christ had to experience sexual assault, maggots, disease, fire, and every punishment sinners experience in hell? We’re looking at what Scripture actually says about Jesus after the crucifixion, “It is finished,” Paradise, Acts 2, Psalm 16, Luke 23, Hebrews, 1 Peter, salvation, false doctrine, and biblical Christianity. If somebody says the Bible teaches something this serious, we should be able to find BOOK, CHAPTER, AND VERSE. This is not about attacking Otha Turnbough personally. This is about a teaching concerning Jesus Christ and the gospel that has now gone viral and received major backlash from believers. If Otha’s explanation clears everything up, then Scripture should support it. But if the explanation still requires us to add details that the Bible never gives, we have to call that out. Watch the entire response before commenting because we’re dealing with Otha Turnbough’s response, the Jesus was molested controversy, Jesus in hell, false teaching, Christian apologetics, sound doctrine, the cross of Christ, and what the Bible actually teaches. At the end of the day, personalities don’t decide truth. WHAT
