In October of 1964, rebel soldiers dragged an English doctor named Helen Roseveare from her home in the Congo. Everything she had built in 11 years was seized in a single day, and discouragement sank so deep she could barely pray. Then, in that darkness, she sensed God asking one question — and the hardest prayer of her life became the doorway to everything He did next. Stay to the end of this devotional, because the part of her story we held back will show you what God does with a praying heart. This morning devotional walks through three truths: God meets you at your lowest place (Psalm 34:17; 1 Samuel 30:6), the four-movement prayer to pray when discouragement steals your words — honesty, remembrance, surrender, and thanksgiving (Luke 5:5; Psalm 55:22), and what God actually does when that prayer goes up — He draws near before He changes anything (Luke 24:32; Isaiah 41:10; Psalm 30:5). Along the way you will hear the hidden reason so many believers lose this battle. Stay to the end for a blessed prayer over your low season, your family, your finances, your healing and your breakthrough, in the mighty name of Jesus. 🙏 If this prayer blessed you, comment "AMEN" and share it with someone who is carrying a heavy heart today. 🔔 Subscribe and turn on notifications so you never miss a morning prayer.
