The Serial Killers' Playground

Serial killer Christopher Wilder was murdering his way across America — and nobody was stopping him. This episode plunges into the terrifying heart of Wilder's 1984 killing rampage, tracking him through Colorado, Utah and Arizona as the FBI scrambled desperately to catch up. At the centre of it all is Sheryl Bonaventura — eighteen years old, blonde, blue-eyed, beautiful, and about to head to Aspen for spring break with her best friend. She never made it out of the shopping mall car park. And there's a detail that will stop you cold. Grand Junction, Colorado — the town where Wilder snatched Sheryl — was the same hunting ground used by Ted Bundy a decade earlier. Two of America's most notorious serial killers. The same small town. The same interstate highway. The same prey. This is Catching Evil at its most compelling — and most haunting. We want your help:Contact us here if you had an encounter with Christopher Wilder or have information about him or any of his crimes: info@catchingevil.comJoin us and support these not-for-profits:US Survivors of Homicide Inc - https://www.survivorsofhomicide.com/Yesterday Today Tomorrow Women Inc - https://www.yttwomen.org/AusMary’s House 1800 002 111 https://www.maryshouse.org.au/about/Follow us:Instagram: catchingevilFacebook: Catching Evil: True Crime PodcastTikTok: catchingevil#catchingevil #prettygirlkiller #truecrimetok #truecrime #givingavoice #christopherwilder #serialkiller #MiamiGrandPrix #ProtectOurGirls #SafetyEducation #EmpowerYoungWomen #BreakTheSilence #TrueCrimeCommunity #UnsolvedMysteries #TrueCrimeObsessed #MindysStory #TerryWalden #BeautyQueenKiller #TerryFerguson #Survivor #WandaBeach #TrueCrimePodcast #SurvivorStories #RememberHer #PodcastRecommendation #VictimsMatter #NeverForgotten #MarianneSchmidt #ChristineSharrock #RosarioGonzalez #BethKenyon #ColleenOrsborne #SuzieLogan #Sheryl BonaventuraCredits:HostsAndy Byrne Mark LlewellynAudio ProductionSam Blacker - The Podcast ButlerResourcesThe Pretty Girl Killer by Andrew Byrne - courtesy of Penguin Random HouseT
