WAIT… WHO IS J DUB?

25 years later… who were we back then? Before we can talk about what we’d tell the two people who got married on September 8, 2001, we have to remember who those two people actually were. And apparently… we need to talk about J Dub. 😂 Before Jamila Chambers, before “Jay,” there was a slightly wilder version known as J Dub. And if we’re going to reflect honestly on 25 years of marriage, we have to start there. Because the advice we’d give our younger selves makes a lot more sense when you understand who we were, how much we didn’t know, and how much growing we still had ahead of us. When we got married in 2001, we weren't the same people we are today. And that's part of the story. Marriage has required us to grow individually and together. To learn ourselves. To learn each other. To navigate different seasons and keep figuring out what it means to build a life with another person.
