CHINGA DAM, WATERFALLS & GICHICHE | OTHAYA, NYERI 🇰🇪 In this episode of Robinson Adventures, we explore Chinga Dam and its beautiful waterfalls in Chinga Ward, Othaya Constituency, Nyeri County. We also visit Gichiche, popularly known as Chinga, a small centre about 11 km from Othaya Town. Despite being small and relatively quiet, the centre serves the local community with small restaurants, bars, sokos, M-Pesa shops and other businesses. The old buildings give it a unique rural feel. Chinga is also seriously cold! The high elevation, proximity to the Aberdare Ranges, and the surrounding landscape around Chinga Dam contribute to the chilly weather. We also pass by Chinga Boys High School, with Chinga Girls High School located on the other side, and visit a milk processing factory that produces yoghurt. The main highlight, however, is Chinga Dam and the waterfalls.
