Why More People Are Rejecting The Traditional Path
About this track
What if one of the biggest changes in modern society wasn't an accident? Across much of the developed world, birth rates are falling to historic lows. South Korea is facing one of the lowest fertility rates on Earth, and even the United States has fallen below the replacement level needed to sustain its population without immigration. So what happened? In this video, I explore an idea that has been on my mind for a long time. Have decades of advertising, consumer culture, and changing social values quietly reshaped what people believe will make them happy? Did we trade family, community, and long-term fulfillment for careers, possessions, and an endless pursuit of "more"? I also take a look at the legacy of Edward Bernays, often called the father of public relations, and discuss how marketing has influenced society for generations. While no single person or event explains today's demographic trends, it's worth asking whether we've underestimated the power of persuasion in shaping the choices we make. This isn't about telling you what to think. It's about questioning the narratives we've all grown up with and asking whether the modern path we've been sold is delivering the life people were promised. Are people finally waking up... or are we simply witnessing the consequences of decades of cultural change? I'd genuinely like to hear your perspective in the comments. Let's have a respectful discussion. #PopulationDecline #BirthRates #ModernSociety #ConsumerCulture #EdwardBernays #Family #Culture #Discussion #JoGoWonder JoGo Wonder YouTube Travel Gear https://amzn.to/4weI739
